Continual improvement involves the various procedures to be followed according to requirement which improves the quality standard and helps in maintaining the ISO quality management system.

Steps of Continual Improvement for Quality Management System:

There are various steps to be followed for continual improvement process in quality management system:

  • The first step is to make sure that continual improvement is the main purpose of the organization.   • Establish measures and objectives to guide and track improvements through reporting and monitoring, which aims to provide data on the success and potential areas for improvement that are found throughout processes in the organization.
  • Recognize improvements, and acknowledge these improvements so that all levels of employees within the organization are able to see the results that come from continual improvement strategies, and to motivate them for further improvements over the long-term.

Continual improvement is the core of quality management but it requires commitment, planning, structure, leadership, participation, and engagement. Continual improvement is an outcome of an active laboratory quality management system.
